University of Wisconsin–Madison

Workday and Enterprise Solutions Team

The Workday and Enterprise Solutions Team (WEST) supports human resources, finance, and enterprise applications across the Universities of Wisconsin. We are responsible for maintaining and improving key tools — including Workday and ShopUW+ — that power the university’s administrative functions.

Our work covers a range of products and services:

  • Human Capital Management (HCM): Support for HR functions such as staffing, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, compensation, benefits, and learning
  • Finance: Support for budgeting, planning, accounting, purchasing, grants and contracts, and specialized tools like Adaptive Planning and the Research Administration Management Portal (for UW-Milwaukee and the comprehensive universities)
  • Shared Capabilities: Project and organizational change management, application security, cross-functional solutions, governance, and vendor management
  • Technical Services: Workday and Prism reporting, data warehouse and dashboard support, integrations, and enterprise application platform services

Through this work, WEST helps streamline operations, improve data-driven decision-making, and ensure each Universities of Wisconsin campus community has the tools and support they need to succeed.
