The UW-Madison campus community recognized the winners of the university’s 2016 Administrative Improvement Awards at a May 24 ceremony at Union South. Chancellor Rebecca Blank and Interim Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration Michael Lehman presented the awards to five teams for their excellence in administrative roles supporting student services, research, academics, outreach or administration. Chancellor Blank said the award winners were selected from a strong field of nominees. She lauded the collaborative nature of the successful projects. “We value collaboration, both in academics and administration, because we understand that the solutions to our most complex problems rarely exist within the confines of a single office,” she said.
